Before Christmas, I signed up for the New Zealand Twitter Secret Santa project. I was quite excited by it, but it’s ended up being a somewhat disappointing experience. I got an email with details of my giftee, and send that person a $10 gift. I’m not sure if that person has received it, because they haven’t tweeted for weeks.
As for the present I’m getting from Santa, well, I haven’t received it yet. And that’s a very charitable ”yet”.
But maybe it’s time to call time on the whole Secret Santa thing. It’s much easier to give and receive presents from people who know what you like. See, while my letterbox did not yield anything from my Twitter Secret Santa, it did have a festive package from the UK.
Fellow Jedward fan Lisa from London very kindly sent me Celebs on Sunday mag, the Sunday Mirror Magazine’s showbiz supplement. It has Jedward on the cover (and inside) wearing the now legendary golden short shorts. This gift warms the cockles of my heart and makes me much more of a happy girl than any Secret Santa present could.
