There’s a new comic up at The Brighter Future by me and Chad Taylor called CITY LIGHTS. Go see!
This is really good, a brilliant collaboration from two of my favourite creative dudes.
I especially like that the story quite grandly opens on Haleakala, a volcanic mountain in the island of Maui, Hawaii. As well as being home to the above observatory, in Hawaiian mythology Haleakala was the home of the sun (and its name literally means ‘house of the sun’), where Maui and his brothers practised an ancient form of daylight saving by trapping the sun and giving it the bash to make it move more slowly across the sky.
