Several of my favourite things

Eddie Argos of Art Brut has a side project called Everyone Was In The French Resistance… Now! with Dyan Valdes of Blood Arm. Their one album, “Fixin’ the Charts, Vol. 1” is a concept album - responses to classic pop and rock tunes. “Think Twice (It’s Not Alright)” is a response to Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”, taking the position of someone who is lousy at breakups.

I have a very strong association with this song and my visit to Christchurch in January 2011. I stumbled across the CD in Real Groovy, but didn’t want to buy a CD so I went back to my hotel and bought it on my iPhone. I feel slightly guilty because that Real Groovy has since closed, but that was mostly due to the earthquake.
